Night Shots Around Rome

Just a few shots using a long exposure and a wide lens.

People's Square

Spanish Steps

Flash on the Spanish Steps. I wish I could say I planned this one. It was in fact just a test shot to make sure I had the right exposure before bothering to compose properly. But... during the eight second exposure, the woman with the phone turned around and took a snap. I wish the camera's azimuth was just a degree or two to the right, but you take what you get sometimes.

Similar to the shot of the woman with the phone camera, this was just chance, As I was climbing the steps, this debutante and her party were coming down. I just planted the tripod (which was thankfully deployed) and hit the shutter (and thankfully I hadn't changed the exposure settings). So, no composition was possible, but I was lucky enough to get the debutante and her gold dress, if not the heads of her party. When I get home, I'm going to work on this one some more.

Late night dining

Agrippa's hut. Jeez... I didn't even correct for tilt on this one!

Accidental Selfie. There was a car load of carabinieri sitting with their head lights on just out of frame. I was standing in front of the lens to try and block the glare from their lights. Looks like I was a bit too protective.
